General Merriment

So I finished Daniel's scarf, I didn't take a pic because it looks exactly the same as in the other pic...just a little longer:) I have a bunch of extra yarn, so I'm making baby hats just for practice. Each one takes me about an hour so it's a nice quick project.

We recently had the pleasure of attending Cousin Max's birthday party at Jumpin' Jax! It's a large facility filled with those huge inflatables.

Craftyyyy

Now that the busy holiday is over and Alexis is back in school, I find myself with more time on my hands. I received many things to feed my sculpey, baking and craft habits for Christmas!

My latest project has been using a loom to knit.

I'm making Daniel a scarf, using the red loom. He's excited to see the progress I make, loves to rub his cheek on it and says "mmmm cozy cozy!"

I can't wait to see the finished product!

Daniel quickly decided this was his favorite present, before it had even been opened! He carried it around for the whole week before Christmas

it turned out to be a very cool circular saw!




We had a small party for Alexis at home. I made a chocolate cake with chocolate and pink icing, per Alexis' request,

then Daniel helped me decorate it with princess sprinkles.

Alexis is SEVEN!!

A few facts about my oldest daughter:

she is trilingual

she loves girly stuff, but can hang with the boys as well

she is top of her class in linguistics

she is excellent at math

she loves animals of all kinds (and wants to be a Vet someday!)

she is a natural born leader and loves to direct
